At our camps, children will have the opportunity to participate in gross motor activities, helping them develop their physical coordination and motor skills. They will also engage in hands-on experiences, allowing them to explore and experiment. One of the unique features of our program is the inclusion of STEAM-based activities. STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics, and our program integrates the arts into the traditional STEM model.
Arts and crafts activities will be incorporated into the program, encouraging children to express their creativity and imagination through various artistic mediums. These activities will foster their artistic talents while also promoting fine motor skills development.
In addition to indoor activities, our program also emphasizes outdoor experiences. Children will have the chance to explore and engage with nature, fostering their love for outdoor play and discovery.
Scheduling
All preschool camp sessions are half-day sessions, taking place between 8:30am-12pm. We offer a two-day option on Tuesdays & Thursdays, three-day option on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and a five-day open throughout the workweek.
- A $20.00 non-refundable, non-transferable deposit is due for each camp week you register for.
- Each camp requires a separate registration and payment.
- If you would prefer to register for multiple weeks on one transaction, reach out to Kellie Greer at kgreer@spcommunitycenter.org and include a list of your requested camp weeks.
- An invoice for your combined deposits will be emailed to you and payment will be required upon receipt.
- Campers are not enrolled until deposits are paid.
- Remaining balances will be automatically charged to the credit card on file on the 1st day of the month preceding the camp start date. For example, Week 1 camp will be charged on May 1st.

Weekly Themes
Each week, we’ll touch upon a different theme, integrating the arts into STEAM for a comprehensive camp experience.
Week 1: Under the Sea | June 3-June 7
Learn about creating patterns, rhythm schemes, and movement while dancing and singing.
Week 2: Disney | June 10-June 14
Participate in boat races and create snow globes surrounding our Disney week theme.
Week 3: SPCC’s Got Talent! | June 17-June 21
Lights! Camera! Action! The curtain has risen for our actors, singers, and dancers! It’s your chance to be in the spotlight. A week of performances and encouragement will prepare talent-seekers for the talent show!
Week 4: Dance Trials | June 24-June 28
An introduction to ballet, tap, jazz, and hip hop. Participate in yoga, steam challenges, and a performance for families at the end of the week.
Week 5: America, the Beautiful | July 1-July 3
Celebrate our nation’s independence with creative routines and decorative banners in preparation for Independence Day! Camp will not be held on July 4th or July 5th.
Week 6: Broadway Bound | Wizard of Oz | July 10-July 14
Learn about famous musicals through song and dance. This week will culminate with a short performance for the parents.
Week 7: Out of this World | July 15-July 19
Blast off in this space-themed camp! Learn about the planets, moons, and stars in this steam-based camp.
Week 8: Dancing Through the Decades | July 22-July 26
An introduction to ballet, tap, jazz, and hip hop, combined with yoga and steam challenges, concluding with a performance showing off what we’ve learned!
Week 9: Olympics | July 29-August 2
This week campers will have fun competing in various teambuilding games and sports while learning the history of the Olympics and the science behind some of their favorite sports.
Week 10: Back to Broadway | Alice in Wonderland | August 5-August 9
Learn about famous musicals through song and dance and end the week with a short performance for our families!
Week 11: Aloha to Summer | August 12-August 16
Say goodbye to our favorite summer adventures with a fun-filled Hawaiian-themed week, complete with hula dancing and island music.
