Each year, the Severna Park Community Center hosts an annual fundraising gala, to honor a local community hero, and to raise much-needed funds for the center’s annual operations. Fees for services and rentals only cover about 75% of the cost of running this facility – the rest comes from fundraising programs, such as our annual gala. 

We have been fortunate to honor some incredible local community heroes, including our current honoree Dr. Diane S. Lebedeff, and past honorees included:

We are so grateful to our sponsors, and to those who contributed their time and talents to make this event such a big success – with your help in 2024, we raised over $160,000 for the center’s ongoing operations.
